# TNB Electricity Account Registration & Bill Payment

What Is It

Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) is the primary electricity provider in Peninsular Malaysia. The TNB registration process allows residential property owners and tenants to apply for electricity connection, manage security deposits, and pay monthly electricity bills online using the myTNB app.

Pay Deposit: Pay the required security deposit (based on premises category/fuses, usually starting from RM150 for residential apartments). 5. Cost & Processing Time

  • Cost: Application is free. Security deposits vary (refundable upon account termination). Connection fees start at RM80 for standard residential structures.
  • Processing Time: Connection takes 3 to 7 working days once wiring audit approvals are met.
  • Where to Apply

  • Online: [myTNB Portal](https://www.mytnb.com.my)
  • In-person: Respective local Kedai Tenaga customer service branches.
  • Important Notes

  • Tenant accounts can be created using the Change of Tenancy (COT) process. This ensures the tenant is legally responsible for monthly utility bills, protecting the property owner from unpaid debts.
