The Terengganu Bantuan Ibu Tunggal Terengganu (BITT) is a state‑run cash assistance programme that provides financial support to single mothers living in Terengganu. The scheme aims to alleviate the economic burden of single‑parent families by granting a monthly stipend.

Who Is Eligible

  • Malaysian citizen single mothers residing in Terengganu.
  • Aged 18 years and above.
  • Household monthly income not exceeding RM2,000.
  • No other overlapping social assistance for the same purpose.
  • Required Documents

  • MyKad (IC) of the applicant: proof of identity and citizenship.
  • Death certificate of the spouse (if applicable): confirms widowed status.
  • Marriage certificate (if previously married): for verification of marital history.
  • Latest income statement (EA Form, payslip, or statutory declaration): to assess income ceiling.
  • Bank account details (bank statement or passbook): for stipend disbursement.
  • Step-by-Step Procedure

    1. Obtain Application Form: Download from the Terengganu State Government portal or collect at the District Social Welfare Office. 2. Complete the Form: Fill in personal details, income information, and attach the required documents. 3. Submit the Application: Submit the completed form and documents to the nearest District Social Welfare Office or via the online portal. 4. Verification: The Welfare Department will verify eligibility and may conduct a site visit. 5. Approval & Registration: Upon approval, the applicant’s details are entered into the BITT database. 6. Disbursement: Cash assistance of RM110 per month is transferred to the applicant’s bank account on the 1st of each month.
