What Is It

A business financing scheme for Malaysian female entrepreneurs under the TEKUN Nasional program. It provides microfinancing to support women in starting or expanding their businesses.

Who Is Eligible

Malaysian citizen female entrepreneurs aged 18 to 65 with a registered business under the SSM (or local government license). Must operate in a group of 5 women (solidarity group) and have a net income/salary under RM5,000/month.

  • Borang Permohonan Pembiayaan TEKUN: Application form for financing.
  • SSM registration: Business registration certificate.
  • Business photos: Images of the business premises.
  • Bank statements: Recent bank statements.
  • Utility bills: Recent utility bills.

    1. Form a Group: Form a group of 5 women entrepreneurs who will act as mutual monitors. 2. Attend Briefing Session: Attend a briefing session at the nearest TEKUN office. 3. Submit Documents: Submit the required documents to the TEKUN office.

  • Loan Amount: From RM1,000 up to RM20,000.
  • Interest Rate: Around 4% flat.
  • Repayment Period: Up to 5 years.
  • Processing Time: Varies, typically a few weeks to a few months.
