What Is It

SSM BizTrust is a digital certification and trust seal program developed by the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM). It certifies that an online business has complied with registration laws, security protocols, and ethical business guidelines.

Who Is Eligible

  • Any business registered with SSM (under EzBiz, MyCoID, or LLP).
  • Online merchants operating websites, social media shops, or e-commerce platforms.
  • The business registration must remain active.

    • Required Documents

  • Copy of SSM registration certificate (Form D/Notice of Registration).
  • Domain registration details (for website verification).
  • Active email address and phone number.

    • Step-by-Step Procedure

    1. Access Portal: Go to the official SSM BizTrust portal. 2. Apply Online: Log in, link your SSM business registration number, and enter your online storefront URL (website, Facebook page, Shopee shop, etc.). 3. SSM Audit: SSM reviews the application to ensure the business is not blacklisted and complies with consumer protection rules. 4. Seal Generation: Once approved, SSM generates a unique BizTrust QR code and digital seal logo. 5. Display Seal: Integrate the BizTrust digital seal/QR code onto your e-commerce website or online profiles.

  • Cost: Free for Level 1 certification. Premium certification tiers range from RM200 to RM1,000 depending on the depth of the security audit.
