# Special Education Integration Program (PPKI)

What Is It

The Special Education Integration Program (PPKI) is a Ministry of Education (KPM) initiative providing tailored learning environments for Special Needs Students (Murid Berkeperluan Khas - MBK) within government primary and secondary schools. PPKI classes operate alongside mainstream classes to support integration.

Who Is Eligible

  • Malaysian citizen child.
  • Registered under JKM with a valid OKU Card (disabled card).
  • Diagnosed with learning disabilities (such as Autism, Down Syndrome, ADHD, Dyslexia), hearing impairment, or visual impairment by a medical specialist.
  • Aged between 5 and 19 years old.
  • Required Documents

  • Copy of child's MyKid/Birth Certificate.
  • Copy of JKM OKU Card (original and copy).
  • Medical validation report from a government medical officer/specialist confirming the child's learning disability.
  • Copies of parents' MyKad.
  • Co-curricular or primary school transition reports.
  • Step-by-Step Procedure

    1. Medical Checkup: Visit a hospital to undergo pediatric evaluation. Obtain the verified medical report. 2. Register OKU status: Submit the medical report to JKM to obtain the JKM OKU card. 3. Apply Online: Log in to the KPM e-Prasekolah or public school portal and select the 'Kemasukan Murid Berkeperluan Khas' option. 4. Choose School: Select a government school containing an active PPKI program in your district. 5. Submit to PPD: Bring the printed application form, medical report, and OKU card to the District Education Office (PPD) for validation. 6. Register at School: Upon JPN/PPD approval, register the student at the allocated PPKI school.

    Cost & Processing Time

  • Cost: Free of charge. OKU students receive a monthly RM150 allowance (Elaun Murid Khas - EMK) from the Ministry of Education.
