What Is It
The Self-Employed Social Security Scheme (SKSPS) or Skim Keselamatan Sosial Pekerjaan Sendiri (SKSPS) is a social security program managed by SOCSO. It protects self-employed individuals against employment-related injuries, including occupational diseases and accidents occurring during work-related travel.
Who Is Eligible
Malaysian citizens or permanent residents.
Self-employed individuals operating in 20 designated sectors (including passenger transport/e-hailing, delivery/courier, agriculture, food/hawkers, and arts).
Note: Registration is compulsory for e-hailing/delivery gig workers and public transport operators under transportation laws.

SSM Business registration or active platform provider profile driver card page (e.g. Grab, Lalamove, Foodpanda dashboard).
Driving license (for transport sectors).
Step-by-Step Procedure
1. Access Matrix Portal: Visit the SOCSO Matrix online portal.
2. Register Account: Sign up using your MyKad.
3. Select SKSPS: Navigate to 'SKSPS Registration' and select your business sector.
4. Choose Plan: Select your preferred annual contribution plan tier.
5. Pay Contribution: Pay the annual contribution fee online via FPX or credit/debit card.
6. Get Protection: The coverage starts instantly and remains active for 1 year.

- Plan 1: RM157.20 per year.
- Plan 2: RM232.80 per year.
- Plan 3: RM362.80 per year.
- Plan 4: RM592.80 per year.
- Note: The government frequently provides 90% subsidies under budget programs, reducing Plan 2 contribution costs to around RM23.30 per year.

Important Notes
