# Selangor: Skim Mesra Usia Emas (SMUE)
What Is It
Skim Mesra Usia Emas (SMUE) is a welfare program by the Selangor State Government managed by Yayasan Warisan Anak Selangor (YAWAS) designed to appreciate senior citizens and disabled persons (OKU) in Selangor. The scheme provides an annual shopping voucher of RM150 and bereavement assistance of RM500.
Who Is Eligible
Senior Citizens: Malaysian citizen aged 60 and above, registered voter in Selangor, born in Selangor or residing in Selangor for at least 15 years.
Disabled Persons (OKU): Malaysian citizen registered with JKM with a valid OKU card, residing in Selangor (no age limit).
Required Documents
For Applicant: Copy of MyKad (front and back).
For Beneficiary: Copy of next of kin's MyKad.
For OKU: Copy of OKU card from JKM.
For Residing Category: Proof of 15 years residence (utility bills, school certificates, or employer verification).
Step-by-Step Procedure
1. Visit Portal: Go to the official YAWAS SMUE website.
2. Submit Application: Complete the online registration or fill out a physical form.
3. Verify Status: Check registration approval status online.
4. Voucher Collection: Receive SMS notification and collect the RM150 voucher at the local DUN Service Center.
5. Redemption: Use the voucher at participating supermarkets (Lotus's, Giant, Econsave, TF Value-Mart, Mydin).

Cost: Free of charge.
Processing Time: 1 to 3 months for approval and voucher distribution.

Important Notes
Vouchers must be redeemed before the expiry date stated on the voucher.
