# School Transfer Application (Pertukaran Sekolah)

What Is It

The School Transfer Application (Pertukaran Sekolah) is the official process under the Ministry of Education (MOE/KPM) that allows parents or guardians to transfer their children between government primary or secondary schools due to relocation, family reasons, or change in employment.

Who Is Eligible

  • Parents or legal guardians of students currently studying in government or government-aided primary and secondary schools in Malaysia.

    • Required Documents

  • Form P.U. (A) 275 (available at schools or State Education Departments).
  • Copies of parents' MyKad.
  • Copy of student's Birth Certificate and MyKid/MyKad.
  • Latest utility bill (electricity or water) as proof of new residential address.
  • Letter of employment transfer (if transfer is due to job relocation).
  • Student's school progress reports/results book.

    • Step-by-Step Procedure

    1. Get Forms: Obtain 3 copies of the Form P.U. (A) 275 from the student's current school. 2. Fill Details: Complete the forms and obtain verification (signature & stamp) from the current school principal. 3. Submit to PPD/JPN: - Within State Transfer: Submit the forms to the District Education Office (PPD) of the new residential area. - Inter-State Transfer: Submit the forms to the State Education Department (JPN) of the new state. 4. Approval Issuance: JPN or PPD reviews the capacity of the target school and issues an approval letter. 5. Register at New School: Present the approval letter along with the student's personal school file to register at the new school.
