# PTPTN Student Loan Application
What Is It
The PTPTN Student Loan is a federal education financing facility provided by the National Higher Education Fund Corporation. It assists students in financing their tuition fees and living costs while studying at approved local public universities (UA) and private higher education institutions (IPTS).
Who Is Eligible
Malaysian citizen.
Registered student at a local UA or IPTS, enrolled in a MQA-approved Diploma or Degree course.
Remaining duration of study must not be less than 1 year.
Must open a Simpanan SSPN Prime / SSPN-i savings account prior to loan application.
Must not receive other sponsorships or scholarships.
Required Documents
Copy of MyKad.
University admission offer letter.
Simpanan SSPN Prime / SSPN-i account number.
Parents' income slips or tax return forms.
BSN PTPTN PIN purchase transaction receipt.
Step-by-Step Procedure
1. Open SSPN Account: Register and deposit savings in a Simpanan SSPN Prime account.
2. Purchase PIN: Buy a PTPTN PIN number at BSN (costing RM5).
3. Submit Application: Log in to the myPTPTN app or web portal during the university's designated intake window.
4. Input Finance Info: Enter parental income and academic records.
5. Print Agreement: Once approved, download and print the PTPTN Loan Agreement documents on official stamp duty paper.
6. Stamping & Submission: Execute the agreement and submit it to the university's student affairs division.
Cost & Processing Time
Cost: BSN PIN costs RM5.00. Stamping duty costs RM10.00. Loan interest is set at a 1% Ujrah rate per year.
Processing Time: Approvals are issued within 14 working days of the application window closing.

Important Notes
PTPTN loan amounts are divided into tiers based on household income: Maximum (for B40 families), 75% (for M40), and 50% (for T20).
