What Is It
The Professional Visit Pass (PVP) is a temporary work pass allowing foreign experts to provide professional services, technical training, or consultancies in Malaysia for up to 12 months.
Who Is Eligible
The candidate must be employed by a foreign company and sponsored by a registered company in Malaysia. Categories include technical experts, consultants, interns, artists, and religious workers.
Required Documents
CV: candidate's curriculum vitae
Academic Certificates: candidate's academic certificates
Service Contract/LOA: service contract or letter of appointment
Passport Scans: candidate's passport scans
Step-by-Step Procedure
1. Registration: The Malaysian sponsor company registers on the Expatriate Services Division (ESD) portal (esd.imi.gov.my).
2. Online Application: Submit the PVP application online with the required documents.
3. Visa Application: Upon approval, print the e-VDR (Visa with Reference) for the candidate to obtain a single-entry visa at a Malaysian embassy abroad.
4. PVP Sticker: Upon arrival in Malaysia, present the endorsement letter to get the PVP sticker in the passport.
