What Is It

In Malaysia, undergoing a Pre-Marital HIV Test is a mandatory legal requirement for all Muslim couples before registering their marriage. It is also strongly recommended for non-Muslim couples. The test is administered at government health clinics (Klinik Kesihatan) using a rapid test method.

  • Step-by-Step Procedure

    1. Book Appointment: Access the MySejahtera app, go to 'Janji Temu Kesihatan', select 'Saringan HIV Pra-Perkahwinan', and choose a clinic and date. 2. Arrive & Register: Present your MyKad and booking reference at the Klinik Kesihatan registration counter. 3. Pay Fee: Pay the standard testing fee of RM5 per person. 4. Blood Collection: The clinic assistant performs a finger-prick blood test (Rapid Test method). 5. Get Result: Wait in the clinic for the test result (takes 15 minutes). 6. Collect Certificate: The doctor signs the official KKM Pre-Marital HIV Test Result Form. Submit this form to the religious office or JPN during your marriage application.
