What Is It

The Employment Mobility Assistance (Bantuan Mobiliti) is a financial incentive paid by SOCSO (PERKESO) under the Employment Insurance System (EIS/SIP). It is designed to assist job seekers who have lost their jobs or are newly hired, and need to relocate or travel long distances to start employment at a new location.

Who Is Eligible

  • Malaysian citizen who is a registered contributor to SOCSO EIS.
  • Offered employment through the MyFutureJobs portal or under approved PERKESO return-to-work programs.
  • The distance between the applicant's current residence and the new workplace is at least 100km (for relocation claim) or involves traveling between East Malaysia and Peninsular Malaysia.

    • Financial Benefits

  • Short Distance / Intrastate Relocation (>=100km): One-time cash payment of RM500.
  • Interstate / Long Distance Relocation (e.g. Peninsula to East Malaysia): One-time cash payment of RM1,000.

    • Required Documents

  • Offer Letter: Official letter of employment from the new employer.
  • MyKad: Copy of identity card.
  • Relocation Proof: Rental agreement, utility bill under candidate's name, or stamp certificate confirming relocation.
  • EIS Claim Form: Completed SOCSO mobility form.
  • Bank Statement: Showing account details for payment.

    • Step-by-Step Procedure

    1. Job Offer: Secure employment through MyFutureJobs or a PERKESO job placement officer. 2. EIS Portal: Log in to the PERKESO EIS Portal (eis.perkeso.gov.my) or visit the nearest SOCSO office. 3. Submit Mobility Claim: Select the 'Bantuan Mobiliti' option. Enter the relocation distance and upload the new employment contract and old/new address verification. 4. Employer Verification: SOCSO contacts the new employer to verify the candidate's report-for-work status. 5. Disbursement: The cash assistance is credited to the applicant's bank account within 14 working days of verification.
