What Is It

The Penang i-Sejahtera Program Pelajar Emas is a higher education entrance grant that provides financial assistance to eligible students.

Who Is Eligible

To be eligible, applicants must be a Malaysian citizen, a registered voter in Penang, born in Penang or have resided in Penang for 10+ years, and enrolled in a full-time Diploma or Bachelor's Degree program at approved public/private universities.

Required Documents

  • MyKad: identification document
  • University offer letter: proof of enrollment
  • Registration payment receipt: proof of registration payment
  • Bank statement: proof of bank account

    1. Registration: Register on the i-Sejahtera portal (isejahtera.penang.gov.my) 2. Submission: Submit required documents 3. Approval: Approved grants are paid via EFT

    Cost & Processing Time

    The program provides a one-off cash grant of RM1,000 for Degree students and RM300 for Diploma students.
