What Is It
The Pangkalan Data Utama (PADU) is Malaysia's Central Database Hub managed by the Department of Statistics (DOSM). It consolidates socioeconomic data of all Malaysian households to ensure targeted government subsidies (such as diesel, petrol, and cash aid) are distributed fairly and accurately.
Who Must Register
All Malaysian citizens and Permanent Residents (PR) aged 18 years and above.
Required Information
Personal & Contact Details: Address, email, phone number.
Household Info: Details of spouse, children, and parents living under the same roof.
Employment & Income: Monthly income, businesses owned, and secondary income sources.
Commitments & Debt: Monthly expenses, loans, and assets owned.
Step-by-Step Procedure
1. Register Account: Go to the official PADU portal (padu.gov.my) and register using your MyKad and mobile number.
2. e-KYC Verification: Complete the biometric identity check (e-KYC) by taking a photo of your MyKad and a selfie through your smartphone camera.
3. Update Profile: Log in and complete the 8 sections (Personal, Education, Household, Income, Commitments, Address, etc.).
4. Submit & Verify: Review all entered data and click submit. Once verified, your status will show as 'Updated'.

Cost: Free.
Processing Time: Account creation and e-KYC take 10 to 15 minutes. Data updates can be done progressively.
