# National Higher Education Savings Scheme (SSPN Prime)
What Is It
Simpanan SSPN Prime (formerly known as SSPN-i) is a savings scheme introduced by PTPTN designed to encourage parents to save for their children's higher education. The scheme offers annual dividends, free insurance coverage, matching grants, and substantial personal income tax reliefs.
Who Is Eligible
Depositor: Malaysian citizen (parent/legal guardian) aged 18 and above.
Beneficiary: Malaysian citizen child aged 1 day up to 29 years old.
Required Documents
Copy of Depositor's MyKad.
Copy of Beneficiary's MyKid or Birth Certificate.
Valid active bank account (for funding deposits).
Step-by-Step Procedure
1. Access Website: Visit the official PTPTN SSPN portal or download the myPTPTN app.
2. Open Account: Select 'Buka Akaun' and choose 'Simpanan SSPN Prime'.
3. Fill Details: Complete the depositor and beneficiary personal details.
4. Make Deposit: Make an initial deposit payment (minimum RM20) via online banking (FPX) or auto-debit.
5. Get Statement: Access your monthly transaction statements and annual tax relief summaries online.
