What Is It
The National Dual Training System (SLDN) is an apprenticeship-based TVET training program under the Department of Skills Development (JPK), where students undergo 70-80% practical training at an actual workplace/industry and 20-30% theory at a registered training center.
Who Is Eligible
To be eligible, applicants must be a Malaysian citizen, aged 15 and above, able to read and write, and possess basic physical capability matching the selected trade.

Identity Document (MyKad): for citizenship verification
Basic Education Certificate: to prove literacy
Step-by-Step Procedure
1. Check Accredited Companies/Industries: visit the JPK portal to find accredited companies/industries
2. Apply to Participating Companies: apply directly to participating companies or through JPK-approved SLDN training centers
Cost & Processing Time
The training is fully sponsored, and applicants receive a monthly apprentice allowance (RM300-RM500) from the participating company.

Important Notes
