What Is It

The MyPR Card is a Permanent Resident identity card issued by the National Registration Department (JPN). To be eligible for a MyPR Card, an individual must first successfully obtain Permanent Resident (PR) status and a valid Entry Permit from the Malaysian Immigration Department (JIM).

Who Is Eligible

Eligibility for the Entry Permit (a prerequisite for MyPR Card application) includes:
  • Investors: Individuals investing a minimum of USD 2 million.
  • Experts: Recognized experts in specific fields.
  • Professionals: Individuals with more than 5 years of professional experience in Malaysia, accompanied by a recommendation from a relevant agency.
  • Spouses of Malaysian Citizens: Individuals who have been married to a Malaysian citizen for 3 to 5 years and have continuously resided in Malaysia on a Social Visit Pass.
  • Children of Malaysian Citizens or Permanent Residents: Children born to a Malaysian citizen or a Permanent Resident.
  • Required Documents

    Applicants must present both original and copies of the following documents:
  • Valid Entry Permit issued by the Malaysian Immigration Department.
  • Current international passport.
  • Birth certificate or adoption certificate.
  • Step-by-Step Procedure

    1. Obtain Entry Permit: First, secure Permanent Resident (PR) status and a valid Entry Permit from the Malaysian Immigration Department (JIM). 2. Attend JPN Office: Appear in person at JPN Putrajaya or any state JPN office. 3. Complete Application: Fill out and submit Form JPN.KP01. 4. Registration: The application for the MyPR Card must be completed within 30 days from the date of issuance of the Entry Permit. Failure to adhere to this timeframe may result in penalties.
