What Is It

MyKid is a smart chip identification card designed for Malaysian children under 12 years old. It integrates three primary applications: identity, health information, and education. While not mandatory, its application is recommended, particularly for health and school registration purposes. If a MyKid is not issued, the child's original Birth Certificate remains a valid identification document.

Malaysian citizens below 12 years old.

  • Parent's marriage/divorce certificate: may be requested by the National Registration Department
  • Prenatal check-up book (buku pink): may be requested by the National Registration Department

  • Cost: the first-time application for MyKid is free of charge, but fees will apply for replacements due to loss or damage
