What Is It

The MyKasih e-Kasih cashless food aid program is a government initiative to support hardcore poor households in Malaysia.

Who Is Eligible

Eligible recipients are Malaysian citizens who are registered and listed as 'miskin tegar' (hardcore poor) in the National Poverty Database (eKasih) managed by ICU JPM.

Required Documents

  • MyKad: The recipient's MyKad is required to receive and use the cashless allowance.
  • Step-by-Step Procedure

    1. Notification: Eligible recipients are notified via SMS. 2. Purchase: Go to a participating supermarket, select approved goods, scan MyKad at checkout, and input PIN to pay.

    Cost & Processing Time

    The program provides a monthly allowance of RM100, totaling RM1,200 per year, with no additional costs or processing time required from the recipient.

    Where to Apply

    There is no direct registration for the MyKasih program, as recipient selection is automated from the eKasih database. Participating supermarkets include Tesco/Lotus's, Giant, Mydin, and Econsave.

    Important Notes

    The cashless allowance can be used to purchase essential groceries such as rice, oil, eggs, and flour at participating retail partners.
