# MARA Tertiary Education Sponsorship (TESP)
What Is It
The Tertiary Education Sponsorship Programme (TESP) is a convertible loan scheme managed by Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA). It is designed to assist Bumiputera students pursuing undergraduate studies in STEM, professional, and technology fields at selected public and private universities in Malaysia.
Who Is Eligible
Malaysian citizen Bumiputera.
Holds a CGPA of 3.00 and above in Foundation, Matriculation, STPM, or Diploma.
Secured an active admission offer for an undergraduate Bachelor's Degree.
Combined parent monthly household income must not exceed RM20,000.
Required Documents
Copy of MyKad (applicant and parents).
University offer letter.
Certified copies of foundation/matriculation scrolls and academic transcripts.
Parents' latest monthly salary slips or income declaration letters.
SSPN saving account verification.
Step-by-Step Procedure
1. Access Portal: Visit the MARA MyEduloan portal.
2. Submit Form: Fill in the TESP application form when the registration period opens.
3. Specify Income: Provide accurate parental income data to determine eligibility.
4. Jana Perjanjian: Once approved, download and print the MARA Loan Agreement.
5. Stamping: Apply RM10 stamp duty onto the printed agreement.
6. Submit Documents: Send the stamped agreement to MARA Headquarters or submit to the university MARA coordinator.

Cost: Free application. Loan repayment conversion rates apply (between 0% and 15% repayment depending on final graduate CGPA).
Processing Time: 1 to 2 months.

Important Notes
The loan is convertible: if the student graduates with a CGPA above 3.50, they can apply for a 90% to 100% waiver, paying back only a small portion.
