Registration of divorce for non-Muslims at JPN is mandatory following a court dissolution order.

Who Is Eligible

All non-Muslims who have been granted a divorce by a Malaysian civil court are eligible to register their divorce at JPN.

  • Decree Absolute / Order of Dissolution from Court: original and copy
  • MyKad
  • completed Form JPN.KC07
  • Step-by-Step Procedure

    1. Visit JPN Office: visit the Marriage and Divorce division at JPN Headquarters or State offices 2. Submit Documents: submit Form JPN.KC07, the Court Order (Decree Nisi made Absolute), and MyKad 3. Registration and Certificate: JPN updates the registry database and issues a Divorce Certificate (Sijil Perceraian) confirming the dissolution of the marriage

    Cost & Processing Time

    The registration fee is RM20, and registration must be done within 3 months of the court's decree absolute.

    Important Notes

    All non-Muslim divorces granted by Malaysian civil courts must be registered at JPN to update the national marital status registry.
