What Is It

JPJeBid is the official electronic vehicle number bidding system managed by the Road Transport Department (JPJ). It allows vehicle owners to bid for coveted plate numbers online, including Golden, Attractive, and Popular numbers.

Who Is Eligible

  • Malaysian citizens, permanent residents, and foreigners aged 18 and above.
  • Companies registered with SSM.

    • Required Documents

  • For Individuals: MyKad or Passport.
  • For Companies: SSM Registration Profile.
  • Active credit or debit card for bidding deposits.

    • Step-by-Step Procedure

    1. Register on JPJeBid: Create an account on the JPJeBid portal using your MyKad. 2. Find Number Series: Search for current active bidding state series (e.g. WYY, JX, V). 3. Place Bid: Select your desired number and place a bid. 4. Pay Bid Fee: Pay the required minimum bid amount deposit via credit/debit card. 5. Monitor Results: Bidding runs for 5 days. Watch the bidding status online. 6. Successful Payout: If you win, you receive an official JPJ offer letter to register the number to a new vehicle within 12 months.

    • Important Notes

  • All bidding deposits are automatically refunded within 7 working days if the bid is unsuccessful.
  • Winning bid numbers must be registered to a vehicle within 12 months of the offer letter date, otherwise, the allocation is forfeited with no refund.
