What Is It

The Department of Social Welfare (JKM) under the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development provides monthly financial assistance schemes for vulnerable segments of society to help cover basic living expenses.

Who Is Eligible

  • Malaysian citizens residing in Malaysia who fall below the current national Poverty Line Index (PLI).
  • Child Aid (BKK): Families with children under 18 (up to RM1,000 per family).
  • Senior Citizens Aid (BWE): Seniors aged 60 and above with no income or family support (RM500/month).
  • Disabled Workers Allowance (EPC): Registered OKUs working with monthly income below RM1,500 (RM450/month).
  • Disabled Care Allowance (BPT): Families caring for bedridden or disabled family members (RM500/month).
  • Required Documents

  • Copy of MyKad (applicant and spouse).
  • Copies of MyKid/MyKad of children or dependents.
  • Copy of JKM OKU Card (for disabled categories).
  • Copy of income statement (salary slip or pension card).
  • Medical report (for bedridden or chronically ill candidates).

    1. Visit JKM Branch: Locate the nearest District Welfare Office (Pejabat Kebajikan Masyarakat Daerah). 2. Submit Forms: Complete the application forms (Borang JKM 18). 3.
