# Cradle Fund CIP Spark Grant

What Is It

CIP Spark is a conditional development grant program managed by Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd (under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation - MOSTI). It provides early-stage technology startups with funding up to RM150,000 to assist in prototype development, proof-of-concept validation, and business market entry.

Who Is Eligible

  • Malaysian individuals or tech startups registered as Sdn Bhd companies.
  • For Individuals: Teams of at least 2 Malaysian citizens.
  • For Startups: Incorporated less than 3 years; minimum 51% Malaysian equity shareholding.
  • Intellectual Property (IP) must belong to the applicant.

  • SSM Certificate of Incorporation (for Sdn Bhd startups) or team members' MyKad (for individual teams).
  • Comprehensive Pitch Deck (detailing the technology, market problem, business model, and financial projections).
  • Detailed project development milestones plan.
  • CVs of key team members.

    • Step-by-Step Procedure

    1. Access Portal: Create an account on the Cradle Fund grant application portal. 2. Submit Proposal: Fill out the project application form and upload your pitch deck and development milestone plan. 3. Screening & Pitching: Cradle officers screen proposals. Shortlisted teams are invited to present/pitch to the Cradle Selection Committee. 4. Due Diligence: Cradle performs financial and background checks. 5. Sign Agreement: Approved startups sign the CIP Spark funding agreement. 6. Milestone Disbursements: Funds are disbursed in tranches upon completion of agreed milestone targets.

  • Cost: Free application. Grant value is up to RM150,000 (conditional grant).
