What Is It

JPJ summons are issued by the Malaysian Road Transport Department for traffic violations. There are two types: compoundable (payable fine) and non-compoundable (must be settled in court).

Who Is Eligible

All Malaysian citizens and residents who have received a JPJ summons can check and settle it.

Required Documents

  • Valid identification (MyKad, MyKAS, or passport)
  • Summons document (JPJ P22)
  • For summons with PG1 Notice, a PG2 Report is required
  • Step-by-Step Procedure

    1. Check the Summons Status: via MyJPJ app or mySIKAP portal (public.jpj.gov.my) using your identification details. 2. Determine the Type of Summons: Compoundable (can pay fine) or Non-Compoundable (must go to court). 3. Pay the Fine: - Online: MyJPJ app, JPJ portal, MyEG (myeg.com.my), or rilek.com.my - In-Person: Any JPJ office or UTC counter (cash, postal order, bank draft accepted) 4. For Non-Compliance Notices: Resolve the original notice first before settling the summons.

    Cost & Processing Time

  • Compound fine amounts are fixed within the JPJ system. No appeal for reduction.
  • Processing time varies depending on payment method.

  • For summons with PG1 Notice, ensure you have the PG2 Report before attempting to settle
