What Is It
The Certificate of Good Conduct (CGC) is a document that certifies an individual's good conduct and character. It is required by foreign immigration departments or employers.
Who Is Eligible
Malaysian citizens
Foreigners who have resided in Malaysia for at least 6 consecutive months under a valid long-term pass (student, employment, MM2H, etc.)

Copy of passport and visa pages
Step-by-Step Procedure
1. Account Registration: Register an account on the e-Konsular portal.
2. Online Application: Submit the online application for the CGC.
3. Document Upload: Upload a copy of your passport and visa pages.
4. Payment: Pay the fee of RM20.00 online once approved.
5. Download: Download the digital copy of the CGC within 7 days of approval.
6. Collection: Collect the physical copy at the Consular division in Putrajaya or at Malaysian foreign missions if requested.
Cost & Processing Time
Fee: RM20.00
Processing Time: Between 30 to 90 working days (security vetting is performed by the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM))

Apply through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (KLN) e-Konsular portal.
Important Notes
The digital copy must be downloaded within 7 days of approval.
A physical copy can be collected at the Consular division in Putrajaya or at Malaysian foreign missions if requested.
