What Is It

The Bantuan Sara Hidup (BSH) Veteran ATM is a federal welfare scheme managed by the Department of Veterans Affairs (JHEV) of the Malaysian Armed Forces. It provides a monthly cash allowance of RM300 to non-pensionable veterans or their surviving widows who fall under the B40 poverty threshold.

Who Is Eligible

  • Armed Forces (ATM) veterans who retired without a pension, OR
  • Widows/widowers of deceased non-pensionable veterans.
  • Aged 60 years and above, or under 60 if suffering from permanent physical disabilities (medical board certification required).
  • Monthly household income falls below the national poverty line index (PGK) of RM2,589.
  • Registered with JHEV ATM.

  • Step-by-Step Procedure

    1. JHEV Registration: Register as a veteran on the JHEV Vibes portal (vibes.jhevet.gov.my). 2. Form Submission: Fill out the BSH application form online or manually at regional JHEV offices. 3. Verification: Submit discharge papers and income records for audit. 4. Home Visit (Optional): JHEV officers may conduct a home visit to verify living conditions and financial hardship. 5. Monthly Payment: Once approved, the RM300 monthly allowance is credited on the 20th-25th of every month.
